At the Weekend Reader Book Shop we strive to serve the beautifully diverse community of Balch Springs, Texas. We offer titles in several genres including generic fiction, science fiction, memoirs, multicultural children, young adult and teens, and others on special request. Our inventory changes VERY often. Books are offered in new, used, and large print.
We are located near the I-20 and IH635 interchange at the Elam Road exit.
Our goal is to support independent readers, authors, and collectors with exceptional customer service and personal attention. Through this website and our quaint store, we promote the events of our city. . . plays, parties, readings, meetings, and alike.

If you are a teacher in the Balch Springs area, we offer a monthly Teacher's Lounge. From 4pm - 6pm come unwind with hors d'oevres and drinks and have the store to yourselves. Browse our selections! Let us know what your students need to enhance their studies or what you need for a weekend read.
